44- Resolution Supporting a Traffic Light on Providence Road to Enable use of a Reactor Field Commuter Lot

Purpose: To voice student support for the needed traffic light and road improvements to allow for use of a new commuter parking lot at Reactor Field to be ready fall 2005.

 

WHEREAS, Having adequate parking is a major concern of students.

 

WHEREAS, Due to increasing numbers of students and campus expansion, more parking is needed.

 

WHEREAS, In order for the Reactor Field commuter lot that is under construction to be safely accessed by students and shuttle busses a traffic light and accompanying road work is needed.

 

WHEREAS, It is MSA’s responsibility to promote general student welfare.

 

WHEREAS, Being able to easily access and depart commuter parking is a significant interest of students.

 

THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Missouri Students Association that we support construction and installation of a traffic light and accompanying road work to enable safe student access and departure from the Reactor Field commuter parking lot.

 

EXECUATION CLAUSE:  Upon passage, the Campus and Community Relations Committee shall present this resolution to the appropriate administrators, Missouri Department of Transportation, and other officials.
